Olea yamadori from scrap !!!

They say that one man's garbage is another man's treasure.

In our case, last year, on one of out yamadori hunting excursions, my dear friends Savvas & Greg dug a big tree and while they were trying to put it in a plastic pot, they cut off a part of the rootwhich had 2 small secondary trunks on.
I decided to give it a go and plant it, so when i came home, i put it in a pot.
Today, took a picture of it while deciding what i am going to do with it.
So, here it is... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The plan is as follows: the tree will be divided in 3 pieces and the 2 will definitely will be potted in order to be trained as bonsai. These 2 pieces have height of about 10cm. I am not sure what i will do with the last piece. I will have to remove the soil and see what is hidden under the substrate since the root is a big chunk of wood.
Here are some pics of the 2 pieces that i will using:
the 1st piece

All pieces have very nice bark. With some luck i will be able to produce 2 or 3 shohin trees.

I did not complain of loosing trees.....it's just that a "friend" took a yamadori olive tree away from me the moment i dug it, because he said that he saw it first....I wonder why he did not get into the trouble of digging it from the ground in the first place....
