Olive No 17

This one collected on October 2011. All photos shown the tree as collected.
Its took more than one year to see new growth!!, I hope that during Easter holidays I will find some time to show photos with the new growth.

The first two photos with black background showing the tree before any work commence. The third photo its a raft idea of the future image of the tree that I have in mind.

Yes Savvas the tree is on my working bench since last week. I had spend more than 10 hours cleaning, refining and curving the wood. It still needs another 10 hours to complete the work Shocked . Below the up todate progress.

Much better friend....very clean and tidy job.......Last foto made me think of something very Stravros-drastic-like,if i may say so.....Cut everything off and leave just the small bit,how about that Greg... Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

May be better to cut off the top where the reverse taper on the main trunk begins.

Well Iam not sure that is a good idea to reduce the height. This tree has a huge base, 30cm in length and the overal height now is just 50cm.
I will may find a different solution for any reverse tapering.

time for an update.
The tree has being styled yesterday during a small workshop we had with other members of our club. Guest star of this workshop was Dave Yarranton from Wirral bonsai society. Dave was of the opinion that tree height must be reduced by removing the main truck- the right part of the tree as shown on the first photo.
what do you think?

Christmas holidays is always a great opportunity for repotting.
