The last photo is a virtual I made. Iam not sure if this is the best solution, any comments /suggestions?

obviously, your tree has very nice bark and good qualities to become a nice bonsai.

.....but even the discarded little tree can become a really nice bonsai in 5 years time.....

Both trees are great guys. Don't start fighting will you Very Happy . If you wish to take the shari right across the front of the tree, you may lose everything above that. Great piece of carving material though. Very Happy

You may be right , I dont like anyway this solution. Carving on this tree is a piece of cake for you! I saw your big yew, great work thumbs up .
I wish I could do the same work on this tree Rolling Eyes
