Possible to make it bonsai?

This is tamarix tree, possible to make it bonsai?
Trunk diameter is 1 meter.

As a species its ok for Bonsai but I never had one.
As far as the above concerned I think is just too Big!
Just imagine the size of the pot affraid

I have seen Tamarisk trees made into bonsai at Peter Chan's nursery in the UK. The trees were actually imported from Japan.

From beginning I want to make this tree bonsai.
Pruned at march 2008. First photo at april.
Lets continue the story with photos:

September 2008:

Air-layering successful in 1-2 month

BTW, a good quality pot (tokoname quality, or commissioned pot) of that size would probably cost between 200-300 euro, maybe even more, if you add postage
Unfortunately, this (cost of pot) is one of the drawbacks when it comes to trees of this size Smile

Absolutely stunning work Mehmet. I've just got back from Spain where I saw many beautiful Tamarix that would make great bonsai. This tree will be worth the investment of a great pot. Smile
